Next one out of town

Whitefish Grind.

Friday, October 2 • The Second Story, Whitefish MT

Four of our writers take the round to Montana for one night, with the Whitefish Songwriter Festival. Same stools, same songs nobody has heard yet — 2,000 miles from Demonbreun.

Two blocks off Broadway

Broadway plays the hits.
We play them before they are.

Down the street you'll hear a great band cover a song somebody else wrote. Here you hear the person who actually wrote it, three feet away, explaining what happened to them that week.

The writers, not a tribute act

Every song on this stage was written by somebody in the room. Some of them you've already heard on the radio — sung by someone else.

Songs before the world gets them

Unreleased material, first-ever live performances, and the story behind the cut. Most of what you hear on a Thursday isn't out yet.

Free every week

No cover at the door, and no pay-to-play at the mic. Artists have never paid us a dollar to stand on this stage, and they never will.

Ella Langley Lainey Wilson Kashus Culpepper Stephen Wilson Jr. Cassadee Pope HunterGirl Mae Estes Sara Evans and 600+ more

In April 2021, Ella Langley sat on this stage and played a song called “Damned If I Do” that nobody had heard yet. Stephen Wilson Jr. played “Holler From The Holler” here that July. The room had no idea. That’s the whole point of showing up.

A Grindhouse Nashville round playing a private event at the Grand Ole Opry House

On the road

Thursday is home.
The round travels.

We take the show out — festival stages, destination weekends, private rooms. It has played Half Moon in Jamaica. It has played, once, for a private event, on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry House. Same writers, same stools, same songs nobody has heard yet, wherever the room happens to be.
