Every song on the radio started as a notebook and a guitar. That is how you hear it here — no band, no production — and you hear where it came from before they play it.
They played here first
Ella Langley sat here seven times before her first #1. Tucker Wetmore played one Thursday in June 2023 and had a debut single out eight months later. More than half the writers who have played this round have a credit you can look up — a cut, a chart, a deal, an award.
Plenty of others came through already known: Sara Evans, Jimmie Allen, Cassadee Pope, Josh Ross and Rodney Atkins have all sat in on a takeover night.
